Trainee Operators join the Rix’s Team

Three Trainee Operators have recently commenced a Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations at Rix’s Creek. The trainees have begun their two-year trainee program, where they will gain new skills through classroom and practical training.

Doing it for Bangers Fundraiser

The fundraiser “Doing It For Bangers” for our workmate and friend, Graham McBride, has recently been completed. The fundraiser total of $189,357 was generously added to by The Bloomfield Group management team, who donated to take the total figure to $200,000.

Hunter Valley Boutique Winemakers Show 2023

The Bloomfield Group is delighted to have sponsored the Hunter Valley Boutique Winemakers Show since 2016. The 33rd HV Boutique Winemakers Show 2023 received 318 entries from 49 different wineries. From these entries, 180 wines were awarded medals (including 40 gold).

The Upper Hunter Mining Dialogue, in conjunction with The Bloomfield Group, is preparing for a Pasture Restoration Field Day on October 11. This will involve tours of the Rix’s Creek mine rehabilitation and information sharing focusing on pasture establishment.

Bloomfield joins in Voice for Mining Family Day

Thousands of mining families, including many Bloomfield families, joined a sold-out crowd at McDonald Jones Stadium, as the Newcastle Knights took on the South Sydney Rabbitohs at the annual Voice for Mining Family Day on Sunday 20 August.

New trucks deliver sound results

A sound attenuation package was engineered through collaboration with Hushpack and WesTrac utilising Bloomfield’s site expertise to minimise noise impacts and have achieved a high sound output reduction.
