A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the The Bloomfield Group stall at Hunter Valley Steamfest. We again sponsored The Bloomfield Group Steam Rally, where visitors could enjoy antique machinery, vintage games and see how things were done in days gone by.

We loved chatting with you all about mining and our current projects, explaining different types of coal and talking about the job opportunities across the Group - it was a great opportunity to connect with the community and showcase what we do.

Our ‘guess the weight’ coal challenge proved popular, with 568 entries and guesses ranging from 4kg to 1000kg.

We’ve now weighed the coal… and the final weight came in at 36.3kg.
