Health Excellence Award for The Bloomfield Group

The Bloomfield Group has been awarded the Health Excellence Award at the 2025 NSW Mining HSEC Awards, recognising the company’s industry-leading work to foster a mentally safe and respectful workforce.

The award acknowledges the success of Bloomfield’s cultural transformation programs Program One, Mentally Safe: Bringing Psychosocial Hazards into Focus and We Care. We Deliver: The Way We Lead, which together have embedded psychological safety, respectful leadership, and a high-performance culture across the organisation.

Brett Lewis, CEO of The Bloomfield Group, said the award reflects a company-wide commitment to safety, inclusion and leadership.

“This is an incredible achievement and a proud moment for everyone at Bloomfield,” Mr Lewis said.

“The Respect@Work National Inquiry and the Psychosocial Hazard Code made us pause and reflect. We had to ask whether doing enough to create a workplace where people are respected, valued, and protected – not just physically, but psychologically. That’s when we began engaging directly with our people and external experts to co-design what a mentally safe and respectful workplace should look like.”

Chief Corporate Services Officer, Renata Roberts, said the recognition highlights Bloomfield’s ongoing focus on addressing psychosocial hazards and empowering leaders at all levels.

“Respect and psychological safety aren’t just ideals – they’re fundamental to how we operate every day,” Ms Roberts said.

“Through targeted programs, leadership development and authentic engagement, we’re equipping our teams with the tools and confidence to create a safe and respectful workplace for everyone.”

The NSW Mining HSEC Awards celebrate best practice across health, safety, environment, and community in the mining sector.

Bloomfield’s win in the Health Excellence category reinforces its reputation as a values-driven business prioritising the wellbeing of its people.
