Supporting Bush fire preparedness

The Bloomfield Group and Foundation have recently provided support to local volunteer groups who help our communities during and after natural disasters such as fire and flood.

Thanks to the following groups for the amazing work that they do:

Benwerrin Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade is the closest brigade to our Bloomfield Mine. A camp fridge to go on the back of Benwerrin’s Fire Truck to help keep drinks and supplies cool while the brigade is out fighting fires was funded by Bloomfield.

Darlington Rural Fire Brigade is the brigade closest to our Rix’s Creek Mine. Bloomfield has funded portable flood lighting units and hand held search lights for Darlington to eliminate the manual handling risk of using heavy generators and large lighting units when out on site.

BlazeAid Inc (Singleton team).Bloomfield has provided funding to help the BlazeAid team fit out their trailer and vehicle storage shed so they can more easily store up to 8 trailers, 4 vehicles, and keep them and equipment out of the weather. The BlazeAid Singleton Storage shed / hub will be the central point for equipment storage and maintenance for the Singleton team. BlazeAid Singleton most recently helped 38 farmers and property owners in and around Wollombi after flood damage.
