Renata Roberts Selected in ‘WIM100’

Renata Roberts, Chief Corporate Services Officer at The Bloomfield Group (TBG), has been selected among the ‘100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining in 2022 (WIM100)’ by Women in Mining (WIMUK), a volunteer non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and advancement of women in the mining sector.

The WIM100 recognises women who have gone ‘above and beyond’ in their contributions to the global mining industry.

Brett Lewis, CEO of The Bloomfield Group, said Renata is an inspiration for many in the local mining industry.

“Renata is a recognised leader in our local mining industry and her dedication to health and safety, along with diversity and inclusion is inspirational.

Renata is now a role model internationally and she is truly deserving of this wonderful recognition,” Mr Lewis said.

The international recognition follows Renata’s ‘Minerals Council of Australia Exceptional Woman in Australian Resources Award’ and the ‘NSW Minerals Council Exceptional Woman Award’ in 2020.

On being selected in the WIM100, Renata said the recognition provided further fuel to drive positive and impactful initiatives so the industry can operate in a more inclusive and safer way.

“I’m so proud to have been given a voice to drive focus and action on mental health and diversity and inclusion.

There is always more that can be done to change attitudes in our sector and our community more broadly, and this recognition lights another fire in me to contribute to an even more supportive and inclusive industry,” Renata said.

Dr Stacy Hope, WIM UK Managing Director said:

"Congratulations to Renata Roberts for her recognition as a WIM100! The WIM100 is a celebration of the inspirational contributions women make to mining so that it is a safer, more sustainable and stronger industry for all. Renata was selected as a WIM100 for her passionate advocacy in diversity, inclusion and mental health. Renata uses her platform to promote the value diversity brings to the mining industry, and to help others develop their inclusive leadership skills. We hope Renata continues to inspire future generations of leaders in mining!”

Renata has held the executive position of Chief Corporate Services Officer of The Bloomfield Group for over ten years and has responsibility for the portfolio of Safety & Health, HR & IR, IT, and contractor & audit management.

As well as having a significant leadership role at The Bloomfield Group, Renata is a Not-For-Profit Board Member and is also a published children’s book author.
