Following extensive market research carried out in 2020, Bloomfield Plant and Equipment Manager, David Worboys, and his team settled on the 220-tonne class Caterpillar 793F Large Mining Truck and have since taken delivery of 19 units from WesTrac’s Tomago branch. These are now working at our Rix’s Creek and Bloomfield Mine.

A sound attenuation package was engineered through collaboration with Hushpack and WesTrac utilising Bloomfield’s site expertise to minimise noise impacts and have achieved a high sound output reduction.

As Bloomfield prides itself on being good neighbours, all trucks have been fitted out with the Huskpak engineered sound attenuation package to contribute to ongoing site noise compliance and minimising impact to nearby communities.
