2023 Apprentice Intake Now Open
Our Apprenticeship Program has been creating careers for over 40 years, all under the careful guidance and support of supervisors and a dedicated, full-time Apprentice and Training Coordinator.
The 2023 Apprentice Intake will offer positions in the following trades:
1 x Electrician
1 x Boilermaker
1 x Machinist
3 x Plant Mechanic / Fitters.
Applications for a 2023 Apprenticeship will close 26th June 2022.

The Bloomfield Group Foundation recently donated funds to Singleton Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) for their DRIVE program – a driving mentor program connecting young people who have difficulty obtaining their required learner driver hours with trained community volunteers who have the time to spend supervising learner drivers.

Rix’s Creek Modification 9 Approval
Approval has been received for the application for Modification 9 - Revised Landform, Exploration and Blasting Frequency Modification at Rix’s Creek North (RCN). There are three main aspects to the modification:

Low energy lighting upgrade for Singleton Hospital
Singleton Hospital has completed a major lighting upgrade project following an additional donation from the Bloomfield Group Foundation.
The recent $10,000 donation from the Foundation followed a $20,000 donation made earlier this year, and provided funding for a project to replace all existing lighting at the hospital.
The shift to low energy LED lighting will result in electricity cost savings of more than $200,000 over 10 years.

Bloomfield launches 2020/21 Vacation Work Program
The Bloomfield Group’s Vacation Work Program has opened for expressions of interest, offering local tertiary students the opportunity supplement their studies by completing paid work experience.
The launch of the 2020/21 vacation work program comes after Bloomfield received almost 1,200 applications for the seven roles on offer in its 2021 Apprenticeship Training Program, and over 2,700 applications for its three Rix’s Creek Mine operator traineeships.
