Rix’s Creek is 5 km north west of Singleton on the New England Highway.

It is in the Singleton Council local government area.


Situated in the Whittingham Coal Measures, it is part of the Singleton Super Group including the Barrett, Liddell, Arties and Pikes Gully seams.
